notorious 'Killing Fields' is re-enacted during a ceremony at
the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center on the outskirts of Phnom Penh,
Cambodia, 20 May 2022. Cambodians mark the annual National Day
of Remembrance, also known as the Day of Anger, to commemorate
the victims who died during the rule of the Khmer Rouge regime
from 1975-1979. Around two million Cambodians are estimated to
have died from starvation and forced labor or were killed in
politically-justified executions during the Khmer Rouge regime.
