John Surtees, ex pilota di auto e moto, unico al mondo a vincere il titolo mondiale sia su due che su quattro ruote, è morto all'età di 83 anni. Lo rende noto l'ente della MotoGp con un tweet. In totale nel motociclismo Surtees ha vinto sette titoli mondiali: dal 1958 al 1960 nella classe 350, nel 1956 e dal 1958 al 1960 nella classe 500. In Formula 1 ha invece corso dal 1960 (anno in cui partecipò a due gran premi, piazzandosi secondo in quello d'Inghilterra) al 1972, vincendo il titolo mondiale nel 1964 al volante di una Ferrari.
