Slovenia took over the EU Strategy
for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) on Thursday and presented the
programme for its one-year presidency as well as key strategy
activities in 2024 at an event in Postojna, according to the
Slovenian Foreign Ministry, as reported by STA. EUSALP includes
seven countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein,
Slovenia, and Switzerland. Slovenia's presidency prioritises the
circular economy, sustainable water resource management, and the
quality of life for young people in the Alpine region. Slovenia
will also work to develop long-term solutions for better
resource management, decarbonisation, and innovation.
