(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DEC 22 - Bosnian religious and political
leaders criticised the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban,
accused of offending the large Muslim population living in the
Balkan country, Orban's spokesperson and Secretary of State for
International Communication and Relations Zoltan Kovacs
tweeted, quoting Orban, that "the challenge with Bosnia is how
to integrate a country with 2 million Muslims." Orban hold a
marathon internatioanl press conference yesterday. The Hungarian
PM spoke also about the Balkans, stating that the region "cannot
be stabilized without the Serbs, without Bosnia, and Bosnia
cannot be stabilized without the Bosnian Serbs. The key to the
Balkans is the Serbian nation."
The Bosniak member of Bosnia's tripartite presidency defined
Orban's statement "shameful", while the chief of the Islamic
community, Reisu-l-ulema Kavazovic, spoke of "xenophobic and
racist" statements. 'Our Party', a left-wing party in Bosnia,
urged to ban Orban from travelling to Sarajevo in January.
