(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 09 MAR - A total of 1071 confirmed cases of
coronavirus (+261 day-on-day) and no deaths were registered in
countries in Central- and Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria and
Greece as of March 8, according to official data of national
authorities collected by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Most of cases of COVID-19 in the area were registered in Germany
(795, +156 in the last 24 hours), Austria (104, +38), Greece
(66, +34), Czech Republic (26, +14), Romania (13, +6), Slovenia
(12, +3), Croatia (11), Estonia (10), Hungary (7, +3), Belarus
(6), Poland (6, +1), North Macedonia (3), Slovakia (3, +2),
Bosnia and Herzegovina (2), Bulgaria (2, +2), Latvia (1),
Lithuania (1), Serbia (1), Ukraine (1), Moldova (1, +1).
Bulgaria and Moldova reported the first case of COVID-19 in the
past 24 hours.
No confirmed cases were counted by WHO in Albania, Kosovo and
Montenegro as of March 8, 2020.
However, local authorities in Albania reported the first cases
on March 9. (ANSA).
