Hungary: unemployment rate decreasing to 3.3% at end 2019

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JANUARY 29 - The average number of
unemployed people in Hungary was 155,000 and the unemployment
rate 3.3% in the period October-December 2019, the Hungarian
Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a statement today.
In 2019, the unemployment rate was 3.4%, 0.3 percentage point lower than in the previous year, the KSH added. Last year, the average duration of unemployment was 12.8 months, with 34.5% of unemployed people searching for a job for 12 months or longer, KSH informed. The unemployment rate in Hungary is constantly falling in the last years, KSH data show. At the beginning of 2013, the unemployment rate reached 11.6%. (ANSA).
