Inflation: highest rates in Romania, Hungary

Greece and Croatia among EU countries with the lowest

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DECEMBER 18 - The highest annual inflation rates at EU level were recorded in November 2019 in Romania (3.8%) and Hungary (3.4%), followed by Slovakia (3.2%) and Czechia (3.0%), Eurostat announced today.

According to the EU statistical office, the euro area annual inflation rate was 1.0% in November, 1.3% in the EU-28.

Inflation rates higher than the EU-28 average were recorded also in Poland (2.4%), Bulgaria (2.2%), Latvia (2.0%), Estonia (1.8%), Lithuania (1.7%) and Slovenia (1.4%), while Croatia (0.8%) and Greece (0.5%) were among the EU countries with the lowest annual inflation rate in November. (ANSA).
