06 April, 21:09
(ANSA) - UDINE, APR. 6 - A delegation of the Italian police, composed of director of the Training center for public order in Nettuno (Rome) and Vice commissioner Stefano Valeri, the head of Udine Police Central Station Giovanni Belmonte and other five officials, has attended a public order police exercise in Carinthia. The meeting, under the cooperation agreement signed in Vienna between Italian and Austrian police cooperation on July 11, 2014 and ratified in 2016, was the first in view of an exchange activity regarding information on techniques of public order management between the two countries. This cooperation will continue with other meetings, already scheduled in Udine and Klagenfurt, in order to pursue joint exercises to share the management of possible emergencies at the border, just like it happened for example at the Brenner clashes with the black bloc. The Italian police and the Land of Carinthia are already carrying out joint monitoring activities on the trains at the Tarvisio border. Exchanges include the presence of Austrian agents in Lignano at Pentecost and of Italian policemen in Villach on the occasion of the Beer Festival. (ANSA).
