(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - Retail trade in the eurozone increased by
0.7% in February over January, when it increased by 0.1%, and by
1.8% over February 2016, according to Eurostat estimates.
Even in the EU's 28 retail trade increased by 0.7%, and by 0.2%
the previous month, whereas the growth yoy was 2,2%.
Among the member states whose data are available (for Italy,
data are confidential), the largest month-over-month increases
month were recorded in Portugal (up 3.1%), Croatia (up 2.8%) and
Slovenia (up 2.3%), whereas the most relevant declines were
recorded in Malta (down 0.8%), Latvia (down 0.7%) and Belgium
(down 0.6%). (ANSA).
