Alfano, Western Balkans' summit in Trieste on July 12

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - The annual summit of the Western Balkans, provided in Italy as part of the 'Berlin Process', will be held in Trieste on July 12. This was announced by italian Foreign Minister, Angelino Alfano, during a hearing to parliamentary Commissions.

The summit follows the one held last year in Paris, and includes the participation of representatives from six Balkan countries - Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedona, Albania - and the EU member states, including Italy, the EU High Representative for Foreign policy and common Security, Federica Mogherini, and major international financial institutions such as the EBRD and the EIB.

Among the central themes of the summit, early announced, there will be growth, security and rule of law, the strengthening of small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperation in the fight against corruption. (ANSA).
