Ukraine, authorities shut 5,000 illegal gambling centres
Sbu:'source of funding for terrorists in East Ukraine'

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 22 SET - The Security Service of Ukraine, Sbu, has identified over 5,000 illegal gambling centres in the country, including the temporarily occupied territories, Interfax agency reported citing an official announcement. Sbu officials said that the group of organised criminals used the illegal gambling network to "fund terrorism in Eastern Ucraine".
During the operation over 1,000 PCs, numerous gambling machines, documents and seven million grivnie (around 240,000 euros) were confiscated. (ANSA).
