Kosovo: EU visas to be abolished, Mogherini in Pristina

Commissioner, proud of proposal regarding liberalisation

(ANSA) - PRISTINA, MAY 5 - The EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy Federica Mogherini announced that she will be in Pristina today, following the proposal made by the European Commission to abolish the visa requirement for Kosovar citizens travelling within the Schengen area.

''I am proud of this proposal regarding visa liberalization. I'm going to Pristina in order to celebrate and continue working on European integration'', Mogherini said on Twitter, local media reported. The EU high representative will speak in a special session of the local parliament, and then she will take part in talks with the Kosovar leadership. (ANSA).
