(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 06 APR - The signing of the agreement between the Bulgarian Bulgartransgaz, Romanian Transgaz and the Austrian Habau Pps is scheduled for today in Austria with the aim of allowing the construction of a portion of an underwater gas interconnection under the Danube river, Novinite reported.
The agreement is to be signed in the framework of a joint project between the Bulgarian and the Romanian companies aimed at diversifying the routes of gas supply, realised thanks to the 8.9 million euros support by the European Energy Programme for Recovery (Eepr).
In this context, Habau Pps had won the tender in February for the construction of 2 km long underwater gas interconnection with a cost of 4.6 million euros and 119 working days needed to complete the project. (ANSA).
