Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia most corrupt EU countries

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Romania is the most corrupt Eu country according to a study conducted by Rand Europe upon commission of the EU Parliament. Bulgaria is the second most corrupt, while Croatia is third. The least corrupt are the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, followed by Finland and Sweden). Italy is 22nd.

Among the member countries above the estimated Eu28 average of 4.9% of the Gdp are Lithuania (14%), Italy (13%), Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland (12%), Slovenia (10%) and Hungary (9% of the national Gdp). Bulgaria is low on the list with 14.5% of the Gdp, Croatia with 13%, Romania with 13.5% and Latvia with 15%. (ANSA).
