(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Germany has been working on a new
'Marshall plan' for Ukraine, Karl-Georg Wellmann, head of the
Ukraine-Germany parliamentary group said, as reported by
Interfax agency.
"We are working together with the Ukrainians on a new strategy
for stabilisation and development of Ukraine, which envisions
much greater political and financial efforts. This is a new
programme, complementary with the Association agreement",
Wellmann said in an interview for Segodnya daily.
"This is an idea for a solid "Marshall plan" for restructuring
economy, management, judiciary system etc", he added,
underlining that, if the plan was to become operative, it would
be implemented under Germany's close monitoring. "The future of
Ukraine is of great importance for entire Europe", he
concluded.(ANSA).
