(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Over 4,6 million of Ukrainain citizens will
not be able to vote on the October 26 parliamentary elections,
said Olga Aivazovska of the Opora NGO, specialised for
controlling the regularity of the elections in Ukraine.
The number comprises the residenst of the occupied regions in
the South East of the country and the residents of Crimea which
was annexed to Russia in March. According to Aivazovska, around
49% of the Donetsk region voters will not be able to vote (1,6
million person) and 69% of the voters from Lugansk
(1,2 million).
Polls show that the Poroshenko-Klitschko bloc is likely to win
30-34% of votes, followed at a distance by the Radical party
lead by populist Oleh Ljasko (11-14%) and by former prime
minister Yulia Tymoshenko's Patria. (7-10%).(ANSA)
