Eur 1 mln to evaluate undermatine rail connection with Finland

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - One million of Eu funds has been allocated for the feasibility study for the construction of the under-marine connection between the capitals of Estonia and Finland, Tallin and Helsinki, local media reported.
The study, which should be completed by February 2018, should determine if the construction of the under-marine tunnel would be profitable, as well as examine possible construction options and environmental impact. The alternative to further develop ferry connections between the two countries will also be examined. (ANSA).
