(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec
met in Budapest with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
The talks focused on infrastructure, particularly the railway
network. Szijjarto announced that Hungary could be interested in
participating in the project for the second railway line between
Koper and Divaca, one of the major projects in Slovenia.
Erjavec presented to his Hungarian counterpart the financial
package, which, according to Slovenia, should be funded by the
EU. This project, Erjavec said, has not yet received adequate
funding. After thanking the Hungarian foreign minister, Erjavec
said he would submit this proposal to the Cabinet (members of
Slovenia's government).
The Slovenian Minister also explained that the
Pragersko-Hodos section, located in Slovenia and not far from
the border with Hungary, will be modernized and completed
according to EU standards. (ANSA).
