(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA - ''We are here to strengthen good
neighbourly relations and future cooperation'', said Slovenia's
president, Borut Pahor, during a lunch with the heads of state
of the neighbouring countries at Brdo pri Kranju on the occasion
of the inauguration of his second presidential term, attended by
Italy's president Sergio Mattarella, and his Croatian
counterpart, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.
''Slovenia does not have a long tradition in this regard -
continued Pahor - but I am glad that all the presidents have
accepted the invitation because it is essential to maintain a
open and cordial dialogue with neighbours''.
Talking about the border dispute with Croatia, Pahor added
that ''we have to resolve the issues on the table and keep the
commitments we have made. Political problems are created by us,
human beings, and so it's up to us to solve them''.(ANSA).
