(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Germany will host each month hundreds of
refugees coming from Italy and Greece, with a residence permit,
German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced during the summit in
Vienna, focusing on the migration crisis. Merkel stressed the
need to stem illegal immigration into the EU, by giving Italy
and Greece more support: ''Our objective must be to stem illegal
immigration as much as possible'', the chancellor said. The EU,
she pointed out, has made consistent progress in the fight
against illegal immigration, and a lot of work has been done,
compared to what happened one year ago. (ANSA).
