Migrants: Bundestag approves identity card for refugees
Bill goes to Bundesrat, law will come into force by summer

(ANSA) - BERLIN - The German Bundestag (parliament) has approved the introduction of a specific identity card for refugees, which should bring order to bureaucratic chaos in the registration of asylum seekers. The bill was presented to parliament by the Interior Ministry.
According to the German government, the bill will also facilitate and speed up the exchange of data and information between the different administrations in the country. The bill should be discussed in the Bundesrat (the upper house of parliament with regional representatives), at the end of Janaury. (ANSA).
