(ANSA) - PESCARA - "We are in a very good situation,
particularly in a sense that the complicated history of the
Balkans is behind us at the moment", said Albanian premier Edi
Rama during an official visit to Pescara related to the
Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region.
The premier underlined that the region has reached an
unexpected level of peace and that this peace should now be
"nurtured and reinforced" because there are still
vulnerabilities.
Rama stressed that the countries of the area - including
Croatia, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and
Albania - needed to be part of a European strategy.
Rama will encounter local political leaders and entrepreneurs
in Abruzzo region. (ANSA)
