Craftsmanship must be included in tourism for AIMR

Cna, necessary to strengthen relations within the Macroregion

(ANSA) - ANCONA - ''We believe that the fourth pillar of the strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, that is attractiveness, should include, in addition to tourism, all the other factors that characterize this area: culture, history, agriculture, food culture, with its typical products, along with craftsmanship and SMEs'', according to Antonio Franceschini, CNA's responsible for the promotion of the international market.

The craftsmanship association has submitted some comments on Eusair after the conference held in Athens and the meeting of the Commission for Territorial Cohesion Policy of the Committee of the Regions, held in Brussels, between the stakeholders and the President of the Marche Region, Gian Mario Spacca, rapporteur, whose opinion on the strategy has been requested by the Greek Presidency of the EU.

Pending approval - scheduled for June - of the AIMR plan of action, which has to be examined by the European Commission, Franceschini stresses that an action is necessary ''in order to spread and and strengthen business culture through a partnership among institutions, universities, institutions, associations'', along with an action ''to fill the technology and research gap that separates the AIMR from the average of the European Union'' and ''to provide resources to fund all the companies that complain about a shortage of credit''.

According to CNA, the implementation of these measures would enhance ''business relations between Italy and the other countries within the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, involving firms that already have decentralized production aimed to South-Eastern Europe''. (ANSA).
