Chambers of Commerce: Cosenza joins OECD global observatory

Recognition for #OpenCamera, introduced by President Algieri

14 July, 14:33
(ANSA) - COSENZA, JULY 14 - The Cosenza Chamber of Commerce is a member of the OECD global observatory, a statement issued from the chamber reported. ''This means an international recognition for #OpenCameraCosenza - the press release continues - an innovation introduced by President Klaus Algieri, that generates transparency and becomes a new philosophy of managing the relationship between businesses, institutions and territory''.

The OECD, Organization for co-operation And economic development, that is composed of 35 Member States, including Canada, Japan, the US, and representatives of the European Commission, supports the development of world trade and a sustainable economy. Efficiency, service quality and user satisfaction are the criteria according to which the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI) has assessed the #OpenCameraCosence experience. ''Since I became head of the Cosenza Chamber of Commerce'', said president Klaus Algieri, ''I have always thought that innovation, transparency, sharing and common good were the principles that could bring businesses and citizens closer to the activities developed by our entity and by institutions in general. For these reasons I have decided to focus a lot on an innovative system of organization and communication, such as new media, social networks, digital platforms, Qrcode and Augmented reality. Wealth and labour are the focus of the chamber system''. ''The goal of #OpenCameraCosenza - the press release reported - is to reach stakeholders through new media and communication systems - such as virtual rooms, where entrepreneurs 'meet' employees, and tutorials. Our entity goes beyond its physical location and reaches entrepreneurs and consumers. After the 'horizontal' reorganization and the job rotation carried out in 2016, any human resource has the opportunity to make the most of it, produce more, submit proposals, and our Chamber has also planned the digitization of its library, to be carried out in collaboration with other public administrations in 2018, by involving work esperience programmes: the 'Digital Library'.

#OpenCameraCosenza is therefore a well-known and nationally recognized project, and recently became part of the Eipa community (European Institute for Public Administration) that has positively evaluated the innovation in view of the Epsa 2017 award''.(ANSA).
