Services PMI falls to 53.2, composite falls to 54.1

(ANSA) - ROME - A significant improvement in manufacturing activity has been recorded in Germany. In June, the manufacturing PMI detected by Markit Economics recorded an increase to 54.4 points, from 52.1 in May. This is the preliminary reading and represents the highest level reached since February 2014, recording a constant growth for 19 months (share 50 is the dividing line between expansion and contraction). The services PMI recorded, on the other hand, a drop to 53.2 from 55.2 in May. Consequently, the composite index drops to 54.1 from the 54.5 previously recorded. (ANSA).
