12 March, 14:46

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Heineken has just disclosed a new business move, declaring to be interested in buying the most important beer brewing companies in Slovenia, Pivovarna Lasko e Union. The Dutch-based company presented its project to a group of Slovenian journalists in Amsterdam: Heineken should acquire a 45% share and would be ready, at the same time, to recapitalize - with 75 million euros - both beer brewing companies, which belong to the same holding. Daily newspaper ''Finance'' reported a statement by Jan Derck van Karnebeek, from Heineken sales management team, according to whom ''we don't expect an extraordinary growth in the Slovenian market, where Lasko and Union have already quite high shares. However, it's possible to grow on the regional market. These two brands are very renowed, and we will improve them by adding sales logistics, which we have already developed in these countries''.
