(ANSA) - BUDAPEST - In Hungary, the volume of retail trade with
seasonal adjustment rose by 6.7 % in February 2014, compared to
the same month of 2013, according to the Hungarian Central
Statistical Office. The increase was particularly marked in the
sectors of food and dairy, beverage and tobacco (+8.2%), which
alone accounts for 49.9% of the whole sector, while there was an
increase by 6.4% in fuel sales. Good results even in non-food
trade (+4.7% year-on- year in February) , which was driven by
sales in clothing and footwear stores (+9%) and in furniture and
electronic products (+8.4 %). A decrease was recorded, on the
other hand, in books, computer accessories and information
technology (-4.5 %). (ANSA).
