(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 10 - "We look to the Minsk agreements and we'll do everything we can to implement them effectively, and therefore lead to a pacification process," Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said at the press conference after meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Vadym Prystaiko.

"The pacification process passes through a series of actions, and we will continue to be close to the Ukrainian people, to the Ukrainian government even through contributions that concern economic development, through the humanitarian contribution in which we participate, through political closeness," Di Maio pointed out. "It is clear that the efforts carried out by President Zelensky and his government bode well for a definitive diplomatic solution," added the head of the foreign ministry.

Minister Luigi Di Maio also underlined "the firm support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and Italy's solidarity for the serious consequences of the ongoing conflict in the eastern regions." (ANSA).
