(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 15 MAG - Tensions are growing between Kiev and Moscow after the Ukrainian security services (SBU) have raided the offices in Kiev of two Russian media outlets, the news agency Ria Novosti and the Russia Today television, both linked to the Kremlin. The SBU said in a statement that that it is investigating "a network of media outlets" used by Moscow "as tools" used "in a hybrid war against Ukraine." "Kiev decided to take revenge for the opening of the bridge" linking Russia to the Crimea peninsula, "they stormed our offices, our contributors can't be reached and the website is not updated," Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Russia Today said on Twitter, adding that the websites of both outlets are not updating and the offices phones appear to be blocked.

In an immediate reaction, the spokesperson of Russian president Putin, Dmitry Peskov, said that the SBU raids were an "insult" and he asked the international organisations to issue a "strong censure". Russian authorities noted that they will "react in a specular way" after having collected more information.
