Poland, resident doctors hunger strike

(ANSA) - Krakow, Poland, 25 Oct - Representatives of doctors and patients met with residents doctors protesting under the hunger strike at the Children's University Hospital.

Today has been announced a 'Day without a doctor in Malopolska'. The action in Malopolskie voivodeship is to take a form that does not interfere the duties of the doctor towards the patient. About 26 resident doctors from Children's Hospital in Warsaw are on a hunger strike from 02 October 2017. The hunger strike protests has spread to other Polish cities like Krakow, Lodz, Szczecin, Wroclaw, Leszno, Gdansk among others.
