Serbia: tourist arrivals up 6% in 2019
Almost 2.5 million between January and August

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCTOBER 2 - Almost 2.5 million tourists,
out of which 1.28 million local tourists, were recorded in
Serbia between January and August 2019, 6 per cent more compared
to the same period of 2018, the Serbian Tourist Organization
informed.
Between January and August 2019, the number of overnights in
Serbia stood at almost 7 million, +5% year-on-year. In terms of
overnights, those from tourists from Bosnia-Herzegovina rose to
almost 200,000 (+13%), followed by Chinese (170,000, +50%),
Montenegrins (162,000, +12%) and Turkish citizens (150.000,
+16%). (ANSA).
