Debt to GDP ratio to fell to 67% this year
02 August, 18:27The 3.1% growth rate in 2019 was "assessed as a high growth rate after strong growth in the previous year," the government said in a statement. In 2018, the Montenegrin economy grew by 4.9%, the specialized portal SeeNews recalled.
The forecasted average real growth rate of the Montenegrin economy in 2020-2022 will be 3% and cumulative real GDP growth will be 12.6% between 2019 and 2022, the government added, forecasting that the net public debt is projected at about 67% of GDP in 2019 and will decline to 57.6% of GDP in 2022. "The medium-term macro-fiscal framework will be characterized by a surplus of public finances and a level of public debt in line with the Maastricht criterion," the government said in a statement.
