(ANSA) - BRUXELLES - "Today's integration of judges, prosecutors and administrative staff into the Kosovo judiciary marks the implementation of the justice agreement reached in February 2015 under the EU-facilitated Dialogue", EU spokesperson Maja Kocijancic wrote in a statement.

A judiciary representative of all communities in Kosovo is "a critical feature to ensure that justice is delivered, on behalf of the whole population", the spokesperson explains.

The newly integrated judiciary "will allow for a uniform implementation" of the law and will foster "economic growth and investments", Kocijancic pointed out.

Yesterday, EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, and Kosovo's European Integration Minister, Dhurata Hoxha, met in Brussels. "Good discussion on the challenges of Kosovo and EU reform agenda", wrote Hahn on his Twitter account. They both agreed that the implementation of reforms "will bring real benefits to people and move #Kosovo closer to EU". (ANSA).
