Macedonia: green light to Nato, difficulties in negotiations
'Internal problems in the Union, France reluctant'

(ANSA) - SKOPJE, JUNE 25 - Macedonia, after the agreement
with Greece on the name, will almost certainly get an invitation
to join Nato during the July summit of the Atlantic alliance,
while it is not obvious and it will be more difficult for Skopje
to get from the EU the starting date of the EU accession
negotiations, MKD reported today.
According to the portal, the difficulties are not linked to Macedonia's progress on the path towards the EU but to the internal reluctance within the Union to approve a further enlargement. In particular, the portal wrote citing its sources, France would be the main obstacle to the green light to EU accession negotiations not only for Macedonia, but also for Albania. (ANSA).
