(ANSA) - BERLIN, MAR 21 - The latest tranche of 300 US
soldiers heading to Poland in order to take part in Nato
training exercises, in preparation for an attack from Russia,
arrived at Berlin's Tegel airport this morning.
The Texas-based Armored division soldiers who landed today
are completing a contingent of 1,500 soldiers, who arrived a
couple of days ago.
The troops, who were transported to Berlin on charter
flights, will be transferred to Poland by bus, a US-Army
spokesperson told the Berliner Morgen Post newspaper. In the
coming weeks, US and Polish units will take part together in
joint exercises (ANSA).
