Germany: industrial orders down in January

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 08 MAR - New orders in manufacturing in
Germany registered a significant decrease in January 2019, data
from the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) suggested
today.
Based on provisional data, new orders in manufacturing had decreased 2.6% on the previous month in January, Destatis informed. The decrease is more pronounced on a yearly basis, with a -3.9% on the same month of 2018, the statistical office added. Destatis revised also the data related to December 2018. In the last month of 2018, the new orders increased by 0.9% month-on-month, but registered a -4.5% decreases year-on-year. (ANSA).
