Eurowings, Lufthansa Group, to operate a biweekly air service

22 December, 16:27
(ANSA) - TRIESTE, DECEMBER 22 - From June 2 Eurowings, the Lufthansa Group's low-cost airline, will fly twice a week on the Trieste-Cologne route. The air service to Cologne will be operated on Thursdays and Sundays with a 144-seat Airbus 319 aircraft, from June 2 and until 24 October.

''The new Cologne-Trieste route is above all an opportunity to develop inbound tourist to Italy from Germany, but also an interesting prospect for regional companies to boost trade with such an important industrial area'', said Marco Consalvo, General Manager of Trieste Airport. The air service to Cologne, one of the main cities of Germany's largest industrial and manufacturing district, close to Duesseldorf, Aachen, Dortmund and Maastricht (Nederland), is established in addition to the daily connections that Lufthansa already operates with the major hubs of Munich and Frankfurt.

Flights on the new route can already be booked on the airline's website.(ANSA).
