23 December, 11:08
(ANSA) - ROMA, 22 DIC - Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile reached an agreement to buy the Austrian division of the Liberty Global broadband in an operation worth 1.9 billion. The Bloomberg agency reports this, quoting a statement.

With this transaction, which takes place through the subsidiary T-Mobile Austria, the company will be able to offer converging services to 6.7 million customers, with sales of around 1.7 billion euros. The agreement could also help for an integration between the same Liberty Global, which is headed by the American billionaire John Malone, and the Vodafone group, on which there were rumors and public statements by managers of the American group. In fact, with this operation it starts the restructuring that is considered essential to start a negotiating table with the British giant to create a giant of the TLC and the networks worth 175 billion dollars.
