EU-19: Eurostat, inflation up 1.5% yoy

The highest rates in Estonia and Lithuania

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - In November, inflation on an annual basis the Eurozone rose to 1.5%, from 1.4% recorded in October.

Eurostat reported, confirming the flash estimate published on November 30. The lowest rates were recorded in Cyprus (0.2%), Ireland (0.5%) and Finland (0.9%). The highest rates were recorded in Estonia (4.5%), Lithuania (4.2%) United Kingdom (3.1%). The increase in the inflation rate was driven by fuels (up 0.21%), diesel fuel (up 0.07), milk, cheese and eggs, (up 0.05), whereas telecommunications (down 0.11), clothing (down 0.07) and social protection (down 0.04) had a minor influence (ANSA).
