Unemployment: in Prague lowest rate in EU in 2017

At the top of ranking also another two Czech regions

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The area of Prague, with 1,7% in 2017, recorded the lowest unemployment rate among the regions within the European Union, Eurostat said today.

After Trier (Germany, 2%), in 2017 the lowest rates were recorded in another two regions in the Czech Republic, Strednii Cechy and Jihozapad, both with a 2.1% unemployment rate. The same rate was registered in the German regions Niederbayern and Mittelfranken. The average unemployment rate in the EU was 7.6% in 2017.

Prague, according to Eurostat, recorded also the lowest youth unemployment rate of people aged 15-24 in 2017, with 3.8%, together with Oberbayern (Germany). The average unemployment rate for people aged between 15 and 24 in the EU was 16.8% in 2017. (ANSA).
