(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - The Council of Europe backed a 1 million
euros grant to support Bosnia and Herzegovina authorities in
setting up a reception and transit facility for up to 400 people
in Usivak, near Sarajevo. On 25th July the Council of Europe's
Special Representative on for Migration Tomas Bocek, will attend
the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Council of
Europe Development bank's (Ceb) and the International
Organization for Migration (Iom).
Bocek will be visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina from 24th to
27th July 2018. He will discuss the current migratory challenges
in the country with government officials.
Previously, the Special Representative visited 'transit
zones' for migrants in Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, and
Bulgaria. (ANSA).
