Liquigas-Terranostra agreement for LPG
Advantageous offer for areas not covered by methane
21 October, 14:49The agreement was outlined during a meeting on ''Farmhouses and sustainability: energy for the territory'' at Coldiretti's pavilion.
Over 20,000 farms are today active in Italy, a business that grew over time and survived the economic crisis. However, as these activities are often located in areas not covered by the natural gas network, in many cases they use polluting sources like gasoline for energy. Thanks to the agreement with Liquigas, the use of LPG will be supported which, with its elevated heating power, bears no risk of soil contamination. The agreement provides for an advantageous economic offer for gas provision. ''The support for communities not reached by the methane network - said Andrea Arzà. CEO of Liquigas - are part of our DNA and our role as energy consultants''.
The president of Terranostra and head of Coldiretti Sicily, Alessandro Chiarelli, also expressed satisfaction. ''It is an encouraging sign for farmhouses that are trying to overcome contingent economic difficulties connected to energy provision'', he said. (ANSA).
