Record sales for Modica's chocolate
Sicilian product is cluster's bestseller

(ANSA) - PALERMO, OCTOBER 19 - Record sales have been
registered for Modica's chocolate at the cluster of chocolate
and cocoa managed by Eurochocolate at Milan Expo 2015, according
to data concerning the three national chocolate districts in
Modica, Perugia and Turin.
The 22 firms from Modica at Expo have sold chocolate for 271,546 euros, or 46%; the city of Perugia sold 170,862 euros worth of chocolate (29.10% while Turin sold 44,699 euros or 24.64%. Overall, chocolate sales from the three districts totaled 587,077 euros. Data on the last weekend analyzed (Saturday and Sunday, October 10-11) showed the district of Modica recorded sales worth 10,666 euros.
