Bulgarian Film Festival is back in Rome

The whole country on display in the "Casa del Cinema"

(ANSA) - ROME - The Bulgarian Film Festival is back in the ''Casa del Cinema'', Rome. This event, created 9 years ago, is able to make the Italian public aware of the extraordinary vitality and richness of Bulgarian Film Industry. Among the main titles of this edition - until May 22 -, ''Losers'' by Ivailo Hristov, a movie that won the first prize in Moscow IFF and was screened in the opening night. The programme also includes a tribute to a leading director, Ivan Andonov, who signed some of the most famous 'evergreen' movies in the history of Bulgarian cinema. One of his masterpieces, ''Yesterday'', was screened during the past edition. The book that Andonov dedicated to his wife, Luba Marichkova, will be presented tomorrow. This work includes many pictures, and some of his drawings and texts; even the film ''The Ladies' choice'' will be screened tomorrow. There is also a section dedicated to television and the TV series.

Among the titles, the new season of the most successful TV series in recent years, ''Undercover'', which during its fifth season saw among its protagonists Italian actor Mattia Sbragia, that is a clear sign of an historic collaboration and co-production between Italy and Bulgaria. (ANSA).
