(ANSA) - ROME - Croatia has planned a vast range of events
for the summer.
The Motovun Film Festival (25-29/7), with the best of small
independent film producers; Sinjska Alka (7-9/8), which this
year is celebrating the 300th anniversary of Alka, the
traditional equestrian competition listed as UNESCO Intangible
World Heritage; the Varazdin Spancirfest (21-30/8), with artists
from around the world, and the Renaissance Festival of
Koprivnica - a large historical re-evocation with a thousand
participants in period costume both from Croatia and abroad
(27-30/8) - are all lined up.
Several museums have also been inaugurated, such as the
Vucedol Culture Museum near Vukovar with its archaeological
finds in 19 halls - thanks to 3 million euros in investment -
and the Alka Museum, which will open August 8 in Sinj. (ANSA).
