The main works on the Brenner
base tunnel's "Isarco River underpass" have been completed,
according to the company Webuild, with the signing of the work
completion report. The Brenner Base Tunnel is a world-class
tunnel that connects Fortezza, Italy, and Innsbruck, Austria. It
will be the world's longest underground railway connection, with
a total length of 55 kilometres (64 kilometres if the existing
Innsbruck railway bypass is included).
