Pope Francis reiterated his call for
an end to the world's conflicts during his weekly general
audience on Wednesday, appealing to God for the "gift of peace"
this Easter. "Let us pray for peace," the Argentine pontiff
said. "May the Lord give us peace in the tormented Ukraine,
which is suffering so much under bombardments, and also in
Israel and Palestine. "(Let's pray that) there be peace in the
Holy Land. "May the Lord give us all peace as a gift of his
Easter".
