Lufthansa's recent deal to buy Italian
carrier ITA is a sign of the increasing convergent strategic
interests between Italy and German, Premier Giorgia Meloni said
after Rome talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz Thursday. "The
industrial agreement between Ita and Lufthansa "is testimony to
how much the national interests of Italy and Germany can also
converge on a strategic level," said Meloni during joint
statements with Scholz at the end of the meeting at Palazzo
Chigi.
