According to Reuters reports, Orban's remark was called "unacceptable" by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko. The Hungarian premier had said that Ukraine is a "no man's land" and compared it to Afghanistan.
"Budapest is continuing a path aimed at destroying Hungarian-Ukrainian relations," Nikolenko added, underlining that "the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will meet the Hungarian ambassador, as there should be a frank discussion, and we reserve the right to take other measures in response."
