The Krsko Nuclear Plant (NEK) in
Slovenia, which was shut down as a precaution on 5 October due
to a pipe leak in the primary system, announced today that it
would resume power generation by the end of this week. The
repairs have been completed, and the reactor vessel and primary
system are said to be operational once more, NEK stated on its
official website. The resumption of operations is contingent on
the authorities' favourable assessment.
